I began woodworking in earnest in 1984 when I had to build a small cabinet for our 1940s duplex that was a bit short on storage and countertop space in its bathroom. My ever-expanding workshop and interest in woodworking has turned my hobby into a business, building bookshelves, tables, custom jewelry boxes cremation urns, cutting boards and Shaker boxes.

I became intrigued with Shaker boxes on a visit to Shaker Village Of Pleasant Hill in Kentucky on a Thanksgiving weekend trip 2002. In May of 2003, I took a class on Shaker box construction at Woodcraft in Cincinnati.

I continued my training in the craft of Shaker style furniture at Kelly Mehler's School of Woodworking in Berea, Kentucky in April of 2005.

My love of cooking, the beauty of wood and the unlimited creative possibilities drew me into making cutting boards. The end grain construction keeps knife blades sharper and reduces knife marks on the board.

If you are an avid bird lover, I can fashion a bird house for your feathered friends to match your house.
